Chloe was born in Nassau, Bahamas on November 5, 1999
Her maternal Grandfather was a life long musician and entertainer, he had the great talent and ability to play almost every instrument. He had an influence on Chloe’s entire family. As a result, Chloe was immersed in music and music was the center of her life.
Chloe began singing at an early age, as soon as she could use her voice. She had her parents build her a proper performance venue in their home including props, lighting and a stage at the age of three.
Her mother Aleece recalls, “It was when Chloe was in the 5th grade that I realized she began to push back against conventional ways of learning and doing things. She was always advanced, and began to question how and why things were the way they were. She was an independent thinker, and not afraid of taking a different path than her peers or silblings. She celebrated doing things in her way, and had a deep ability to comprehend and process. Chloe was always evading conventional structure. That is what will make her excellent at her crafts, and brave enough to execute them.”
At age 11, Chloe began to work and study culinary arts under Chef Elijah Bowe at Gray Cliff, the only 5 Star restaurant in the Bahamas. She would also work on weekends and evenings studying with Bahamian artisan and mixed media artist, John Cox, a childhood friend of her father and owner of Popop Studios.
At age 12, Chloe moved to the United States to attend 6th and 7th grades at The Galloway School in Atlanta, Georgia. She then went straight to high school, while attending the Pre-College Program at New York University
In 2013, Chloe entered and won the Teen Categories of the Little Miss Bahamas Pageants. She won the titles of Miss Ideal Bahamas and Miss Teen Universe Bahamas, making Chloe the first double-title holder in the pageant’s history. This qualified her to represent the Bahamas in the Miss Teen Universe Pageant in Nicaragua in 2014, where she was the youngest contestant. She won the overall “Talent” Category and placed 7th overall in the world.
In late 2015, she began writing and recording her current EP at a small make-shift studio in Nassau.
Chloe currently resides between Nassau, Bahamas and Los Angeles, where she is recording with Dave “Switch” of Major Lazer, while preparing to tour with her band. Her first single is scheduled to be released in Fall 2016.
